Not just any teacher but an all-rounder who understands the needs of the practitioners and guides them in a Yogic way that impacts and improves their lifestyles in the most inexhaustible way.

Yellow Circle adopts a contemporary style of teaching this ancient art, using vocabulary of functional training, resistance training, strength training, & flexibility training, using examples from daily life, so that more and more people can connect to Yoga in the easiest of the ways.

The goal of our YTT program is to nourish & produce qualified, inspiring, and motivated yoga teachers/trainers who are able to draw on their own practice and personal discipline in imparting the yoga experience to others. 

In this four-week course you will establish a firm foundation of discipline – the traditional teachings of Hatha Yoga - that promotes physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth and build a strong knowledge base which will let you teach & guide others naturally and with confidence. This training will prove beneficial not only for aspiring yoga teachers but also the serious practitioners who want to develop and deepen their self-practice and expand their awareness of yoga as a discipline.

This comprehensive course will familiarize you with the basics of yoga philosophy. It will help you intensify and master yoga asanas. You will understand the effect of the asanas on the body through study of anatomy. Daily pranayama and meditation practice along with chanting will help you experience their strengthening and balancing properties. We will give you a taste of yogic discipline, diet and cleansing rituals. All this is designed to deepen your understanding of yoga and become a confident and a competent yoga teacher by learning the teaching techniques and methodology.

Creative learning of the discipline to master the art of ‘teaching’. Special effort is put in transforming you into a teacher who not only delivers knowledge of this ancient practice but also succeeds in guiding & channalising the energies of their class in such a way that they start to apply the principles of Yoga in everyday aspects of their life.

Course includes practical & theory subjects. Evaluation will be done on the basis of overall performance during the course, attendance, practical & written tests. The 200hr course has to be completed in the stipulated time.

Students will be given the option of opting for 120 hours extra over and above the 200hours of the course for their self-practice and continued learning through attending and assisting regular classes. This will be application based learning where students will get firsthand experience on managing a session, solving queries of class members, helping members with alignment correction, understanding the diversity & dynamics of the group, and working on achieving group goals.

The focus of students will remain on absorbing analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques, as well as getting guided practice of the techniques themselves.

  • pranayamas (breathing techniques)
  • Kriyas (detox activities)
  • Dhyana (meditation)

In carrying out all the above mentioned activities, students will be guided through their, techniques, alignments, contra-indications, benefits, connection, physical & mental awareness, adjustments, & variations.

All the practices will be based on Hatha Yoga, taking guidance from other major disciplines by Maharishi Patanjali, Bihar school of Yoga, etc..

This is a 200Hrs Non-residential course carried out in a span of 28 – 31 days.

The fee includes administration, training lessons, syllabus manual, and 2 T-shirts of the uniform.

  1. The course will be carried out in English. Only parts of the course may be carried out in Hindi/Sanskrit language as and when required. The participants of the course must be good in reading & understanding the Basic English language.
  2. You are required to have undergone proper & complete schooling from state or central board.
  3. You should have a sincere desire to work hard, adapt and grow beyond your comfort zone. Past experience in yoga is not mandatory. Whether you are a beginner or an advance practitioner, you are required to come with a clean slate to be able to absorb from the course.
  4. You should be mentally and physically fit to follow the course. We do not recommend attending the course if pregnant. However we access requests individually.
  5. Code of conduct:
    1. Any activity that is not related to this course or breaches the discipline of the organization is not permitted.
    2. Absolutely no drugs are to be taken or distributed on or off the premises of the Ashram as they are destructive to one’s psychic body. Please inform the teachers of any prescription drugs you may be taking during the course.
    3. Absolutely no alcohol, tobacco, meat, fish or eggs are allowed on the course.
    4. Students are recommended to observe discipline as much as possible during this intensive four week course. The student’s behaviour and attitude, both private and public, should be such as to enhance the sanctity & atmosphere of the premises.
    5. Ensure timely reporting on session days. Kindly come in atleast 10 minutes prior to starting time to ensure smooth conduction of sessions.
    6. Attendance at all classes through the day is mandatory. A minimum of 85% of attendance needs to be maintained. To ensure attendance, an e-mail must be submitted to the teacher & a verbal consent must be taken in order to procure approval for any absence.
    7. All students will be required to have uniform attire. Full black lowers(loose/tight) and the t-shirt provided by the organization. Please indicate the correct size in the application form. T-shirts once issued will not be exchanged. Any kind of nudity or harassment will instantly be dismissed.
    8. Tools and inflammables are forbidden anywhere inside or outside the premises.

Terms & conditions:

  1. Disrespect to rules and regulations could result in termination of studentship with no refund of fee.
  2. Cancellation can be requested for and not demanded for minimum 7 days before the commencement of the course. Acceptance of the request is completely at Yellow Circle’s discretion. An administration amount of 20% of the total will be deducted and the rest will be issued in the form of a credit note after the course completion date. Credit notes are non-transferable and can be used in any Yellow Circle Teacher Training course within 6 months from the date of commencement of the training course applied for in the first place.
  3. A minimum of 50% of the aggregate is required to become eligible for the certification. On failing, you may reactivate your studentship at 40% of the course fee within 3 months from the course completion date. If you wish to re-appear after 3 months, no concessions in compliance with this point shall apply.
  4. Yellow Circle shall not be held liable for any loss or damage or injury that you might incur during the course.
